Invisible Illness

"There's nothing worse than suffering when no one believes it's even real. 

 

It is difficult to grasp that in this day in age when we know so much about well - everything, that people still find it hard to understand invisible illness and how it affects even the people that look healthy and well.

 

Considering that many of the most powerful forces on earth are invisible, it shouldn't be that shocking that many patients struggles cannot be seen from face value. It doesn't make it any less real.

You see, pain was always apart of my life. I never knew what life was without the sensation. But this pain? It was different. Millions of people everyday are being ostracised and accused of faking it or seeking attention just because it can't be seen. We see it through discussions with our community and we read it on social media support groups and forums. Sometimes all they need is someone to listen.

Love has caused wars, electricity will never show itself but can kill in an instant. Invisible Illnesses can be no less deadly or powerful at their worst.

 

We understand the power invisible illness can have over your life, your light, your family and your entire universe. 

​

So be proud for not giving up when your body feels as though it is failing you.
