Biography:
Kate is one of Behaviour Support and Therapy’s Advanced Behavior Support Practitioners and a child and youth psychotherapist who has been working with us since 2022.
Working primarily in the South from Aldinga to Port Elliot and the surrounding suburbs. Kate, like all of our clinicians, works with people of all ages. Although, Kate has a special way with children and teenagers, spending a lot of her time in schools as a Behaviour Coach, childcare centres, and playgroups.
She believes that a supportive environment that is consistent and nurturing is the catalyst to change and positive initiatives. For this reason, she often provides support and strategies to important people in the lives of our clients, such as parents, carers, extended family members and education providers.
Kate holds a Bachelor of Social Work and certificate in Nursing and is accredited at Practitioner Level in Marte Meo. Prior to joining us, she had experience working with young people in the education and housing sectors.
Kate is very engaged in volunteer work including participating in and running youth camps. Outside of work, she enjoys being a mum, running marathons, Pilates, exploring new wineries, live music and camping.

Behaviour Support and Therapy are a Registered NDIS provider and provide therapeutic support to people of all ages, backgrounds and needs. We work with infants, children, teenagers, and adults.
Specialising in complex behavioural presentations, circumstances and family dynamics. We have expertise in supporting clients with mental health conditions, including those presenting with dual diagnosis and complex trauma and first diagnosis navigation and management. We understand that our clients are part of a social system, and we provide support and work with our clients and important people in their life and community.
Our clinicians are allied health certified, predominantly social workers and psychotherapists and are registered with the NDIS Commission. Our core business is behaviour support and talking therapy, however we also offer specialist support coordination, behaviour coaching in schools and early childhood settings, consultancy (training and supervision to providers and allied health), and end of life and palliative care support. We offer therapy sessions including:
· A full range of Behaviour Support programs, including Positive Behaviour Support Plans and Behaviour functional analysis assessments
· Goal focused individual and family therapy sessions
· Individual sessions with important people in their life (such as parents, teachers, carers etc)
· Interactional video analysis
· Specialist Support Coordination
· Training packages including a training manual
· Mental Health Assist Training
· Consultancy, supervision and training to mainstream and NDIS Allied health and SIL providers
· Behaviour support and therapy services in Age Care and homecare packages
We see clients in clinic and their community, including their homes, childcare, school, groups, workplaces etc.
