Biography:
Hello. I'm Johann, a talk therapist passionate about helping you achieve emotional freedom. Originally from South Africa, my travels provide valuable perspectives for our sessions. As a father in a blended family with experience in disabilities, I offer a unique understanding. I hold a Master's in Counselling and Psychotherapy, a Master's in Creative Practice, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. My diverse experience includes managing and teaching in tertiary education and wellbeing roles in primary schools, ensuring I bring empathy and a broad perspective.
I'm available for in-person services in a confidential space in Old Noarlunga or can facilitate online sessions. I utilise a person-centred approach that combines psychodynamic interpersonal therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and solution-focused approaches. I'm here to share my extensive experience in supporting you if you are dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, or attachment concerns. I genuinely embrace the unique needs of our neurodivergent friends, as well as those in the LGBTIQ+ communities and individuals living with disabilities. I aim to create a personalized and respectful experience for everyone by tailoring my approach to honor and meet each client's needs.
