Biography:
A beat frequency is an audio phenomenon created when two pure tones are played together, creating a rhythmic modulation or beat; my therapeutic approach uses this idea figuratively and literally. With a master's degree in creative Industry practice, a graduate diploma in counselling, and a bachelor's in audio production, I bring unique skills and approaches that benefit clients who struggle to engage with traditional counselling sessions.
My therapeutic approach is centred on creating a safe and trusting environment for my clients. Through music-based activities, I enable them to explore their concerns uniquely and effectively. I use a person-centred approach interweaved with narrative therapy to encourage self-expression through music listening, reflecting, performing, and producing. I am also trained in Interactive Drawing Therapy (IDT), allowing rapid self-reflection and client-centred resolutions. I have lived experience with ASD and ID and a broad range of professional experience with disabilities, neuro and gender diversity. All ages are welcome; no musical skills are required, just an open mind and a thirst for self-expression and healing.
